Strength sports has always had a special place in my heart, in university I used to train in the gym 5x, purely strength and no cardio. I also used to work as a fitness instructor as a part-time job next to studying. I guess I had not seen the light yet, because for me the combination makes me the best athlete I can be, on & off the bike. I believe every cyclist, be it road, gravel or mtb, should at least do some form of strength training. Why? You can read that in the article published here.
